Philanthropy

  • BRANCHING OUT

Fall quarter, this quarter we went trick-or-treating for items on the SPCA wishlist. It was very successful this year and we brought back many items for the SPCA. In addition, every week we helped with the after school program at a local elementary school in Woodland. We taught them different aspects of agriculture and helped them understand where their food comes from.

Winter quarter, we participated in the local SPCA adoption day at Petco. It was very fun and interesting to see how hard these volunteers worked on trying to get animals into a loving, good home.

Spring quarter, we are very busy this year with a number of different philanthropic events.  On May 14th, we are once again working with the local CWA chapter on AgAdventure day for the Girl Scouts. We will mainly be in charger of the different booths and activities for the girls to participate in.  Another event will be replanting the garden at the local elementary school in Woodland. This will most likely be on a weekend sometime around late May or early June where we can put in new plants to grow over the summer.
